When and Where to Donate Food to the PRCC Food Drive in Hattiesburg

Close Up of Hands Grabbing Food DonationsIn between studying for exams, writing papers and working to pay tuition, many college students may wonder when and where their next meal will come from. Pearl River Community College, in an effort to quell those concerns, is working to establish The Market – an on-campus food pantry that will provide affordable food for students. With an initial $500 donation from the Poplarville Rotary Club to establish the marketplace, the staff at PRCC are now collecting food donations to help stock the shelves.

Toyota of Hattiesburg is working hand in hand with Pearl River Community College to help benefit college students with food donations. Individuals who would like to help with this food drive and charity event can drop off non-perishable food donations at the dealership that will be used to fill the bed of a 2018 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. When the truck is full, the food will be donated to The Market at Pearl River Community College. Financial and food donations will be accepted on campus starting on July 1 at the office of public relations.

With this food drive and charity event, Pearl River Community College and Toyota of Hattiesburg hope to improve the college experience for many students in the Pine Belt area. When you stop to test drive the brand-new 2019 Toyota Avalon at Toyota of Hattiesburg, make sure to bring a non-perishable food donation and drop it off in the dealership showroom.
