As November comes to an end and December is almost upon us, there are plenty of holiday activities that are taking place. One annual event that takes place every year in downtown Hattiesburg is the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. This year marks the 68th celebration of these events. Annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Details

The 68th annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will take place on November 29th in downtown Hattiesburg. Guests are encouraged to line the streets as the parade will be starting at Hawkins Elementary and end at Town Square Park where the program for the tree lighting will begin. The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the tree lighting program will begin at 7:15 p.m.
Bundle up and bring the whole family for this fun event. Along with the parade and tree lighting, there will also be other activities to take part in. Children can get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Clause in Santa’s Village for a perfect Christmas card picture! There will be smART Space art horses as well as food and beverage vendors throughout the night. Once the event is over, there will be several downtown Hattiesburg businesses open to conclude the night.
